Mommy Makeover at NPS: A Husband’s Perspective

Forward from Dr Neinstein

I am going to share an email I received from a husband of a mommy makeover patient.

I am a husband and my wife has had surgery before. When I design the practice infrastructure, systems, and processes, I think from a concerned husbands perspective. Thats why we hyper-specialize on very few operations. Namely, mommy makeover surgery, weight loss surgery which is basically the same as mommy makeover, and breast surgery. We check our ego at the door at Neinstein Plastic Surgery.

Think about this- I believe this helps explains why we hyper- specialize. Most Plastic Surgeons say they are experts in facial surgery, body surgery, and non surgical aesthetics. There is 24 hours in a day. Almost every plastic surgeon is dividing the 24 hours into thinking about three completely different fields while we take all that time and focus on one. We do that because we believe patients deserve better. They deserve the best possible operation and the best possible post operative experience possible, I have found that this seriousness of focus speaks to husbands and partners of all types because it gives them peace when their significant other/special loved one is having such a serious operation. From the text updates in the operating room, to the daily house calls we go above and beyond in the operating room and during the aftercare to make sure the patient and the family feels the love and gratitude we have for each and every one of them.

Mommy Makeover from a Husband’s Perspective

Below is an email from a recent mommy makeover patient’s husband.

Dr. Neinstein-

I have to admit, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with my wife having a mommy makeover. While I’ve been around loved ones who’ve undergone major procedures before, nothing fully prepares you when it’s your partner — your whole world — going under.

The morning of her surgery was filled with emotion and anxiety for both of us. As we made our way from the Plaza to your office, I was nervous and uneasy. Sitting in the lobby, I honestly could have teared up — I was placing everything that matters to me into someone else’s hands for a significant operation.

But then you came off the elevator — and your energy, your presence, immediately lifted my spirits. In that moment, you gave me the reassurance I didn’t know I needed. Your incredible staff was so attentive, making sure I got to see her before surgery, walking me through what to expect, and you even hugged me and assured me she was in the best hands.

Throughout the procedure, your team kept me updated every step of the way. When I finally saw her again in recovery, I felt a massive wave of relief — the surgery went flawlessly.

But what truly stood out to me — and what makes you the absolute best at what you do — is everything that happened after the surgery. The structure, the care, and the support you’ve built around the procedure are just as remarkable as your surgical skill. From the detailed prep booklet, to the nutrition guidance, to the partnership with Radiant Recovery for post-op support, to your morning visits to check in — every detail reflects your commitment to excellence and patient success.

On a personal note, I’m incredibly grateful for the care you gave my wife, and the peace of mind you gave me.

Also, as a businessman who runs my own company, I was blown away by the caliber of your practice and the phenomenal team you’ve built. You should be extremely proud of what you have put together. Your energy, passion, and drive to be the best are evident in every single touchpoint of your organization.

There is truly no other surgical practice like yours.

Thank you again!
