I’ve struggled with my weight for most of my life, joining Weight Watchers at just 12 years old. I never imagined considering plastic surgery. The idea of transforming my body seemed out of reach. But after losing 90 pounds through determination, Wegovy, and discovering a love of fitness, I realized I was ready to reclaim my body and confidence.
After the weight loss, combined with two rounds of IVF, two pregnancies, and two C-sections, I was left with a lot of loose skin. While I could hide it with clothes, I wanted to proudly show off my healthy body for the first time. When I started researching mommy makeovers, I felt overwhelmed. The websites were full of clinical descriptions and before-and-after photos, but there was little emotional connection or advice. It felt like navigating the process alone. Eventually, I went to consultations around central Jersey, but nothing felt right. That’s when I reached out to a friend on Facebook who had been a patient at NPS.
From the moment I booked my virtual consultation with Neinstein Plastic Surgery (NPS), I knew this was different. Before meeting Dr. Pierre, I’d already been to multiple consultations, but none felt as warm and professional as NPS. Dr. Pierre and his coordinator, Bella, took the time to listen to my goals, my story, and my vision for the future. They didn’t just see me as a patient—they saw me as a person. That immediate care and attention put me at ease. Dr. Pierre recommended a circumferential tummy tuck. He was the only doctor to suggest this procedure after all my research and consultations. He explained how it would address my concerns better than an extended tummy tuck. When I revisited other consults and asked why they hadn’t recommended this, I realized many didn’t even perform circumferential tummy tucks and recommended NPS for it. Dr. Pierre’s thorough and transparent approach made me feel I was in the best hands. I knew when choosing a surgeon, I needed access and open communication. I wanted someone who would answer my questions, reassure me, and truly listen. NPS’s commitment to these values made me feel confident throughout the journey.
What stood out most to me about NPS was their culture of compassion. Every team member, from the administrative staff to the nurses, treated me with kindness and respect. They truly understood the emotional and physical challenges of undergoing multiple procedures, and their unwavering support was something I’ll always be grateful for. After working closely with Bella and understanding NPS’s exceptional aftercare, I scheduled my procedure for December, ensuring I had enough time to recover. Bella and Dr. Pierre took multiple calls with me to calm my nerves. Whenever I was in the city for work, I’d stop by the office, where the sense of community was clear. One thing I loved about NPS was the network of women who’d been through similar procedures. Being part of that group gave me the support I needed to move forward. The shared experiences turned what could’ve been a daunting process into an empowering journey. Thanks to these women, I’m now inspired to help others considering this path.
The day of surgery arrived with excitement and nerves, but the NPS staff’s attentiveness made all the difference. From helping me get comfortable to answering last-minute questions, they reassured me at every step. My husband felt supported throughout the process, which helped create a calm environment for both of us. Walking into the operating room is a blur now, but I do remember Randy telling one of his famous dad jokes, which made me smile as I went under. I even got to choose the music to fall asleep to! When I woke up in recovery—what felt like only five minutes, but was actually over seven hours—I was greeted by smiling nurses from NPS and Radiant Recovery. Dr. Pierre visited soon after, clearly thrilled with how everything went. As someone who works out daily, I was ecstatic to hear that my abs were already showing under the loose skin! To my surprise, I required less liposuction because I had very little fat left.
Back at my suite at the Sonesta, my recovery nurse, Gianna, had everything perfectly set up for me to focus on healing. Even though I felt a little nauseous from the anesthesia, the team adjusted my medications and checked on me regularly. Dr. Pierre visited every morning during my stay in NYC, ensuring I felt supported. When I needed extra supplies and didn’t want my husband to leave my side, Mitch went above and beyond, having them couriered to my hotel with a thoughtful surprise gift. Even at just ten days post-op, I can confidently say that choosing NPS was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I can already see the results, and my confidence is at an all-time high.
This journey has taught me the importance of investing in myself. Losing 90 pounds was an incredible achievement, but completing the transformation with body contouring surgery has allowed me to embrace my new body fully. It’s not just about looking good—it’s about reclaiming your life and living it to the fullest. The team at NPS really gets that. 2025 is the year I’ll wear a bikini for the first time, and I can’t wait to see all the incredible results. If you’re considering plastic surgery, I wholeheartedly recommend Neinstein Plastic Surgery. Their dedication to patient care, expertise, and compassion sets them apart. For anyone unsure about taking the next step in their transformation, my advice is simple: Don’t settle for anything less than a practice that prioritizes your well-being and understands your journey.
