Tummy Tucks Are Not Just For Moms

People believe that only women with kids should or could get tummy tucks. In this blog, I will challenge that belief.

“We question all of our beliefs, except for the ones we really believe in, and those we never think to question.”—Orson Scott Card

We need to change the cultural narrative that we are ascribing to the context. A lot of the things we hold true in society come from people we do not know. These beliefs were crafted in a world that you don’t live in. Now, I understand we need to adopt certain belief systems from our culture to put the world in order, but from time to time we have to stop and challenge those beliefs so we are not limiting our own personal success.

It does not matter how you got to the problem of excess skin – weight loss the old fashioned way, Ozempic or other GLP-1 medications, menopause or any other method – the treatment that gets the results is still the same: remove the excess skin.

We have received such amazing feedback from both men and women who have undergone tummy tucks for skin removal without being mothers.

  • They are more outgoing
  • They are more confident
  • New partners could care less about the scars
  • They interact completely different with the world, given their renewed sense of confidence

Don’t take it from me, read this email from a 41 year old tech executive in San Francisco who, after years of being unhappy, made the big decision to have a tummy tuck with us.

Dear Dr Neinstein,

It means so much to hear that you’re hoping to demonstrate to women like me that tummy tucks aren’t just for mothers—for anyone seeking to feel confident in their skin!

A few years ago, I stumbled upon Legs by Lauren and discovered your work. I was mesmerized by the transformations you were achieving for women. At first, I was convinced that the before-and-after photos had to be of different people—they were that dramatic. Yet, as someone who had chosen not to have children, I felt unworthy of procedures like a tummy tuck, which seemed reserved for mothers reclaiming their pre-baby bodies. But what about women like me? Women who, for various reasons, have never achieved their ideal body? When I saw that you were performing tummy tucks for women post-Ozempic, I realized it was finally time to take a serious step toward change.

This recovery has been smoother than my initial breast augmentation, far less painful than my breast revision, and even easier than the so-called “minimal downtime” Air Sculpting procedure. Looking back, I wish I had done this long ago. But I truly believe that everything happens in its own time for a reason.

Now, three months post-op, I can confidently say my abs have never looked better in my entire life. Growing up as a teenager in the 90s, I vividly remember longing to wear crop tops without worrying about my stomach. But as adulthood set in, genetics, rapid weight gain post-eating disorder recovery, and the disappointing results from previous procedures like Elite Body Sculpture and traditional liposuction left me avoiding bikinis and feeling self-conscious even at the gym. I dreaded changing in public and always opted for more clothing, even in the heat of summer.

Fast-forward to today: I’ve started my Pilates routine again, and my abs are on fire—in the best way possible! For the first time, I can achieve that deep belly burn, and it feels incredible. At 41, I can walk around the gym in just a bra top with confidence and try on any dress, knowing it will look amazing. This procedure has been life-changing, not only physically but emotionally.

Thank you, Dr. Neinstein, for your expertise and care and for helping women reclaim their confidence. You’ve truly transformed my life.

We hope to change the belief for people who are frustrated with their extra loose skin and bring them harmony between mind and body.
